​PAULA MERRILL
Director/Instructor

Paula Merrill  is excited to start her 23rd year as an instuctor at Weber School of Dance.  She began her early dance education at the Weber School of Dance with
"Kinderdance". She continued her dance training through high school.
​After high school graduation she attened Ball State University
and graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance.
Paula is a highly qualified, experienced dance instructor and dedicated to the
​traditions of the Weber School of Dance. Paula has performed leading roles at
Derby Dinner Playhouse and Music Theatre of Louisville.
​Most recently she was seen as Maggie Jones in 42nd Street. Paula choreographed and performed in "Quilters" at Muncie Civic Theatre, Muncie, Indiana. She was a soloist and company member with the Ball State Dance Theatre and Banevolks. She also choreographed "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for the Jeffersonville High School Theatre. Paula is respected and loved by her students, and we are proud to have her as an Associate Director and Business Manager of the Weber School of Dance.



​BETTE WEBER FLOCK
Director/Choerographer

Bette Weber Flock’s dance involvement spans more than sixty years. She is honored to be an inductee in to the NAHS Hall Of Fame. She received the Life Time Achievement Award from the Southern Indiana Arts Council as well as the Arts Advocate Award for her work with the youth of the community. She was an artistic member and soloist with the Louisville Ballet Company from 1953 to 1965, and has performed with such notables as Mia Slavenska and Prima Ballerina- Assoluta, Alexandra Danilova. She has had a lengthy career as a choreographer for New Albany, Floyd Central and Providence High Schools, along with many other organizations such as Actors Theatre, Music Theatre of Louiville and community theatre. She is the Director of The Weber School of Dance and has had the pleasure of seeing many of her students working professionally in dance and theatre. Ms. Flock has the honor of having choreographed sixteen shows presented at the prestigious International Thespian Festival, in Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as choreographing three shows presented at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Two of the shows presented for the Music Theatre of Louisville Rising Star performances, “Crazy for You” and “Seussical” were choreographed by Ms. Flock. Bette has received awards for outstanding service and choreography for New Albany High School and Floyd Central High School theatres.


MEGAN BLISS
Instructor/Choreographer

​Megan Bliss began training at the Weber School of Dance when she was seven years old and continued through high school. She then furthered her education at Wright State University where she earned a BFA in dance. She has performed at many theaters locally and regionally as well as various shows and parades at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. For the most part, you can see her perform at Derby Dinner Playhouse. Favorite roles include Peter Pan in PETER PAN, Audrey in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Rita in WHITE CHRISTMAS, Lily St. Regis in ANNIE, Babette in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Brenda in HAIRSPRAY, and Kelsi in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. She has choreographed for many schools and theaters including Derby Dinner Playhouse, New Albany High School, Floyd Central High School, Wright State University, Providence High School, Beavercreek High School, Stebbins High School, and Hazelwood Junior High. She has a deep passion for teaching and choreographing and is very thankful to be a part of the staff at the Weber School of Dance.
